Newport is one of the oldest if not "the oldest" Welsh canine society registered with the Kennel Club and we are committed to assisting with the training of show dogs and their handlers for the show ring.
We hold two shows a year the first is a Limited Show in January/February and an Open Show in September.
We have a very experienced committee including CC judges to help and give advice to novice exhibitors.
We use an excellent venue The Graig Community Centre, Caerphilly Road, Bassaleg, Newport NP10 8LH

Ring Craft Classes:
Classes are held alternate TUESDAY EVENINGS. Classes commence at 7.30pm, doors open 7.00pm. The charge is £1 per adult. These evenings are mainly run for the socializing of dogs and puppies for the show ring. If assistance or information is required on anything to do with handling, shows etc. please ask any of the handlers on duty or any committee member who will be happy to help with your enquiry.

Monthly Matches:
A simple knockout dog match is held monthly. Only members can enter the matches and your entry must be registered before the commencement of the match.
The entry fee for the match is £1 per dog entered. A rosette for the winner of both the puppy and adult matches is presented.
Please note the following:
CC winners are not eligable to enter the matches and NO "in season" bitches.
